In Japan

 In Japan, I went to Tokyo, Kyoto and Hiroshima. I had a lot of fun there and I ate sushi, rice, Ramen noodles and I also got to try soba noodles. I saw samurai stuff and it was really cool. I would definitely go back to Japan again.  Also, Japanese people speak English and they also speak Japanese which is their own language. They are clean people and they also are quiet. Most of the time babies are quiet, kids are quiet, and they seem to have a lot of fun; they enjoy their lives and they all have good times. I went to a café called Owl Café; it was really cool because I got to see owls, touch them and carry them. There were some who were trying to sleep in there and there were some in a cranky mood but most of them were very happy. Everything in the Owl Café was fun! It had really good tea and they have some television but people mostly come to see the owls and everybody who goes there gets to stay for an hour and they all have fun. I went to a samurai castle, a place where the shogun lives and I saw a golden temple in Japan. Hiroshima is a nice place it's clean it's quiet and it has a lot of stuff. Its like a New York just quieter and better, no offense New York. In Hiroshima people do not want any more bombs. People in Hiroshima are peaceful and they rebuilt  instead of doing revenge on the Americans. They still keep one remaining tower that survived the bomb in display and to still be able to remember what happened in the war against America. The rest is up to you to find out what else happened.

Berghoff

Joseph Berghoff started off selling drinks after he came from Germany at age 17. He was told to stop his business and so he made a stand outside of the World's Fair selling food. Then he opened another stand in the corner in the city and sold his drinks for 10 cents with free food. He started making a restaurant and got a drink license for his business. In the restaurant, they have a bakery to bake their own bread and cake for people to eat and enjoy. Men were also the first to come at the restaurant but then Gloria Steinem came in and made it possible for women to eat there too.
His business closed but his granddaughter reopened it. It is the oldest restaurant in the city of Chicago.

I learned this through an architecture tour and I also learned about German architects that built beautiful buildings like the one in the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. It had lions on the top and the names of famous German composer like Beethoven.

Before this tour, I went on another tour called Compassion Experience and I learned that it is really sad and an unfair life compared to ours.

Did You Know?

Did you learn about Salvador Dali? Because I did.
Salvador Dali started painting at age 10. He was a realist artist first. Dali never listened to his art teacher and he later became a surrealist artist. One time his father kicked him out of the family then Dali made a painting of his father looking weird. Dali was so fond of his wife, Gala, that he painted her in some of his paintings. Some paintings had him in it too. My favorite painting Dali painted was the one with women statutes that made a bull fighter. I think you should go to the museum in St. Pete's FL so that you can figure out he did with his paintings. Go get the audio recorder so you can listen and find out what paintings make more paintings.

I am Vincent

I want to tell you about my learning and fun life. I have been to museums that helped me learn new things while learning-- I had fun. I got to see things you don't normally see. Like manatees, Dali paintings, mammoths, dinosaurs, and other cool things.

I'm 10 years old and I am expecting to see more things that surprise me. I also have breaks of learning and I play with my Legos, I'll see my friends, play basketball, and that keeps me distracted from other things. I hope you have a great 4th of July and I hope on Halloween you get to see my dog, Kevin MacBandit, dressed as a manatee!

I am moving to Florida from Illinois and I will get tanned by going to the beach a lot. I will make new friends and go visit my friends in Illinois every so often. TTYL!
